Sorry, this item has sold.

This gorgeous hand knotted carpet is over 100 years old.
It is a Bakhtiari, made by the nomadic tribe by the same name, these carpets incorporate both floral and geometric designs. This carpet is just under 10 ft . (9’11” x 6’5”)

The rug is clean with some surface wear, and to end and sides.

The superior wool and saturated natural colors produce a carpet the improves with time. The older carpets a rare to find. This rug has repeating medallions, all a bit different.

The palette of 2 shades of blue, terra cotta, pink, teal, white and gold is striking. The rug has some end loss on one end. No holes, stains or odors. The rug has wear and the colors continue to become more beautiful.
